2003 — Foundation
Branessy was founded in 2003 and originally operated under the name Q‑Import. From the beginning, the company focused on building strong commercial relationships and developing expertise in the international spirits trade.
2003–2010 — Caribbean Liqueur Imports
Between 2003 and 2010, Branessy specialised in importing liqueurs from the Caribbean into the Netherlands, establishing a reliable network of suppliers and distribution partners.
2010–2020 — Expansion into Spirits & Beer Trade
From 2010 to 2020, Branessy expanded its activities to include both the import and export of spirits and beer. During this period, the company strengthened its commercial capabilities and broadened its international reach.
2020 — Transfer of Trading Activities
In 2020, Branessy transferred its trading operations to its commercial partner, allowing the company to reposition itself strategically for future growth.
2026 — European Market Support for Non‑EU Brands
In 2026, Branessy shifted its focus toward supporting and advising companies located outside Europe. The company now helps non‑European manufacturers export their products into the European market, connecting them with the right partners, distributors, and market segments.
